Hello My Name Is...

Laura Frederickson

I have been teaching music at Oakwood Elementary since 2018.  I love to teach students different instruments such as xylophones, drums, recorder, and other Orff Instruments.  I also love to sing and dance with the kids; they fuel me with happy energy!  I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, both certified in Vocal and Instrumental Music, and am currently working on a Master's degree in School Counseling.  In my downtime, I love to go on walks, play my piano, teach swing dancing, paint, try different restaurants around town, and spend time with friends and family.
